Fine Art Show this weekend

I was fortunate enough to attend an exclusive fine art show over the weekend.
The artist was described as "a young up-and coming modernist"
Not sure what that means exactly, but I found his work to be deep and full of meaning...
......if you stare hard enough, you can see that this one for example,
is a cat holding a flower.
And this one is a mother with child.
Unfortunatly the art was not very well received. The tempermental artist stormed off, and the gallery promptly shut down the exhibit, wiping all traces of the artist off of its walls.
A shame really, but then the "no drawing on the walls" rule is there for a reason.

uh oh! wonderful post! got a great laugh out of it. maybe you need one of those very large pads of papers people use when they do presentations to hang on the wall for your little artist to doodle on!
happy sunday!

Fine art indeed! I'm sure the budding artiste will be happy knowing that his first great works have been preserved in the family photo album.

B, be happy it was crayon, not permanent marker or worse - holes in the wall. ;)

So funny! years ago I walked into the kitchen to find our then two year old daughter drawing her artwork on our refrigerator...with hands on my hips I exclaimed "Joy, what are we going to do with you?!"
to which she calmly replied.."just put me in jail"! (: I wasn't sure where that answer came from, but I've never forgotten it! great post!

Well - I can't be too mad - it did come off of the wall - thank goodness for the Mr Clean Eraser thing. AND - I was lucky it was a graphite pencil - my hubby leaves the sharpies out all of the time - lol.

Chris - My bebe needs some lessons in cross-hatching!

This is one of the funniest post of all time! Your budding artists will learn to appreciate a mom with a great sense of humor and that nurtures artistic talent. I think we all have one of those walls in our house.

Too funny! I suppose this is what I have to look forward to, eh? When I was little my mom just let me color all over the walls in my playroom...and I'm still doing it! I just painted the walls in my new nursery and had a ball! So I guess I can't blame the little guy...but you are lucky it wasn't Sharpie! *Note to self...have Mr. Clean Magic Erasers on hand... :)
Hope all else is well with you...miss ya!
